Location very good; porter excellent - friendly; reception lady was reluctant to give us a twin room for our adult son & daughter as requested in our booking; one of the 2 lifts never worked for the 5 days we stayed there; the only other lift was slow & erratic and frequently used by the cleaning staff so it wasn't available for guests; the stairs were a health hazard - narrow marble steps which were worn & the banister on one side was semi-submerged into the wall; night 2 was terrible: the air conditioner unit was sited through the window and as it rained most of the night, we had rain dripping constantly onto the unit making a constant noise - we had to ask to change rooms; food was served in the bar area which wasn't very inviting; bedrooms were clean &.
